Dr. Sleep is an absolute masterpiece and one of the rare cases of a director/writer adapting a book and keeping the heart of the book while also making it his own. I didn't like all the changes Flanagan made, but it's still a far better adaptation than Kubrick's Shining.

To me this movie is one of the best Stephen King adaptations of all time. Amazing screenplay and ridiculously good performances from everything. Even down to the actors he brought in to play a young Scatman Crothers and Shelly Duvall. The only gripe with the movie is that they changed the ending and had Danny ultimately die. I get why Flanagan did that, but I think the book handles it far better. via /r/movies https://ift.tt/yDXoUtT
