For me the Lebron V Jordan debate is over with this movie

This isn't about spoiling the movie. But the attitude of the two space jam movies. In the OG space jam movie you have Michael Jordan allowing himself to become the butt of the joke. Being made fun of. He is a failing baseball player, he is a has been that feels lost. The movie is more about the toons than him. We see the journey of his friends who lose their basketball skills and how lost they feel without their gift that defines them and how valuable having a talent is. As corny as that movie is, it has more layers and feels more like a full movie. The new space jam is so desperate. It feels like Lebron James has the BIGGEST inferiority complex in the world. Whole movie is about how BAD ASS and awesome he is. His first few scenes is him being told he is a once in a generation talent. Then a whole ass montage of how awesome he is and how he wins. Showing him not just as a basketball player but a super hero with super sayian like graphics. Whole ass movie is about how dope ass Lebron is. They keep calling him King and pushing him up as much as possible. This whole ass movie is about giving an ego boost to this almost 40 year old man child. He can't even laugh at himself, he is so obsessed with being "the best" when he himself obviously believes he isn't...Edit: because someone complained and someone else said F*CK Lebron James. This isn't about bashing a basketball player or getting your fanboy shit on. I made this observation because of how different the two men at the prime of their careers act. One makes fun of themselves showing security and belief in their own abilities whilst also giving a spotlight away in the story and the other feels so insecure he needs to be constantly praised or called a King or glorified.. If you are here just to bash on two wealthy basketball players just because of their basketball skills or because they aren't from the team you support. You are missing the point.. via /r/movies https://ift.tt/3BdrYPu
