Carl Weathers pulled a brilliant thing here that probably goes unnoticed unless you've seen Predator literally 1000 times like I have. The scene is this:https://youtu.be/olYW6eNj1CQ?t=50As he is saying "I woke up. Why don't you?...I used you to get the job done, got it!?", you can see it in his eyes that he is only saying this because he wants to appear in control and stand his ground, even though he regrets it. You can see in his teary eyes that he does not believe a word he's saying but has to stay in the act and appear tough. At the end of his speech he even clenches his jaw out of nervousness. His character later wants to redeem himself and this is where it all started. It's a really clever detail and Carl Weathers understood this character. You know, Predator is commonly considered a macho movie where the characters are just badass and that's it, but they are actually more than that. They are really fleshed out without ever giving them a backstory. Just the way they interact with each other says a lot.Truly a masterpiece. Excuse me, I'm off to watch it again. via /r/movies https://ift.tt/3ePM6gv
