Lucky (2017)

There would be times when I lose interest in films of popular genres like Sci-fi, Horror, Thriller etc. In such times I would either turn to Harry Potter or LOTR, or a certain category of movies I have created for myself. The films of this category act like medicine and in those times I truly enjoy these. They act as a soft cushion to place under my head. Now the category. It may sound strange but most movies that deal with psychological distress and depression, chronic/terminal disease or just simply which deal with the triviality of life and daily activities are the ones which I place in this category. Some of the movies areIt's a kind of funny storyAwakeningsThe perks of being a wallflowerInto the wild500 days of SummerManchester by the seaRecently in my search for more such movies, I came across Lucky. Released in 2017, this was Harry Dean Stanton's last film. The film was released in March and Harry died in September. The movie just follows the routine affairs of an old man with rigid habits and attitudes. A loner with a bad mouth but a kind heart. It is funny, maybe a little depressing but definitely worth watching. It is what I like to think of as a detox movie. After a long spree of sci-fi, fantasy, horror/thriller this is the kind of movie that just cleans your palate.Cheers! via /r/movies https://ift.tt/3bEQSuk
