I have this thing going on where I watch bad movies with a couple of my friends every week and I thought I'd share one of the earliest gems we encountered. Ernest Goes to Jail is a stupid movie, but my god is it one of the most entertaining stupid movies I've ever seen, with no part of the film better exemplifying this than the breakout scene. In a switcharoo on the part of the movie's antagonist, Ernest is confused for famed criminal Nash and is sentenced to death by electrocution. I can't think of another movie that takes the concept of death by electric chair and goes in this direction with it. The utter absurdity of it all just makes the comedy work, and while Ernest might not be everyone's cup of tea, I certainly find something special in this scene.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lkZ48vZEZJI via /r/movies https://ift.tt/2VyrAs5

» Ernest Goes to Jail might not be the most complex movie in the world, but it holds a special place in my heart for the utter ridiculousness of its electric chair scene [SPOILERS]
