WAIT UNTIL DARK (1967) is a rare movie everyone should see.

Firstly, I can't believe how few ratings it has, 22.5k watches on Letterboxd and less than 30k ratings on IMDb.I came across the movie because I saw Breakfast at Tiffany's (1961), and wanted to see more of Audrey Hepburn, and holy moly she has like the best acting performance in this that I have seen for ages. It wasn't just her acting of a blind person which was good, it was as if she wasn't even playing a character, responding with what seemed like genuine emotion. - Alan Arkin also plays a really really cool character which really makes the movie cool. This movie is also claimed to have the best jump scare ever, personally I didnt find it that good, but I am sure others like it. You could definitely consider this a horror movie, but it's really a suspenseful thriller, and boy is it one of the best thrillers I've seen. Probably the best home invasion movie ever too; it might look like "blind woman fights off home intruders" but it is SO much more. This came from 1967 and it really doesn't seem it at all, some scenes look and feel like they were from the 80s, or even 90s. It is not a slow and boring movie by any means. It's not a perfect movie, but its in my all time favourites for sure, 9/10. via /r/movies https://ift.tt/3wMVFVT
