Virtually every single movie or show that I’ve ever watched in the last few years has strange sound mixing that goes from very quiet, such as when people are talking, to very loud, such as when explosions go off. This has remained constant for me no matter what streaming platform, player, console, TV, etc. that I use. All of my friends notice it as well and nobody knows why it is or how to fix it.Interestingly it doesn’t seem to be a problem for video games so much. This is very irritating to me because you have to either sit there with the remote in hand to constantly switch the volume around or keep it very low and put subtitles on since you can’t hear most dialogue. It makes watching anything in an apartment very difficult. What’s the deal with this? Am I somehow using the wrong sound setting? Or does film and TV just have shit sound mixing across the board? Id love to find a fix for this problem. via /r/movies https://ift.tt/3E1YvsP
