There are certain directors that when I hear they're attached to a project, it instantly gets my attention. Someone like a Quentin Tarantino, or a Martin Scorsese, or an Edgar Wright. I hear one of those names among many others and I instantly get excited, regardless of the project. For instance, while I did not care for the 2016 Suicide Squad, as soon as the news broke that Mel Gibson was being courted to direct the sequel, I went from not caring about a Suicide Squad to now looking forward to one. Then there's the inverse, directors that when attached to a project, you know the movie is going to be mediocre/bad.Examples:Robert Schwentke (RIPD, Snake Eyes, Divergent movies)John Moore (Max Payne, A Good Day to Die Hard)Adam Shankman (Cheaper By the Dozen 2, Bedtime Stories, Rock of Ages)Raja Gosnell (Beverly Hills Chihuahua, The Smurfs, Big Momma's House) via /r/movies https://ift.tt/3DxpFHX
