My digital copy of Gone with the Wind that I bought in April 2020 now has the racial disclaimer at the beginning that wasn't there when I originally purchased it.

Don't get me wrong, I fully support that disclaimer being added to the beginning of the film due to the obvious controversy surrounding a movie that clearly glorifies the antebellum south. But in general I find it alarming and disturbing that a movie I purchased can be edited in this way without my permission. Doesn't this mean that I don't really, truly own it if someone else can make changes to it? Like, can you imagine if somebody came to your house and demanded that they be allowed to edit your copy of a VHS or DVD?Again, I fully support the racial disclaimer being added the beginning of the film. I just find it odd that they're allowed to edit a copy that I already own. via /r/movies https://ift.tt/3kSGaH4
