Movies where the villain is actually smart?

I'm talking about villains who don't fall for the usual tropes that allow the heroes to win, such as explaining his plan to the villain, not killing the hero instantly, etc.It would have to go to Safin in No Time to Die. You can't deny that he fulfils every goal except the typical "world domination" plot seen in other Bond movies.Wants revenge on organization Spectre for killing his parents when he was young? Steal a DNA-coded virus and turn it on the whole group when the leader decides to kill Bond in an overtly planned birthday party.Needs to capture Bond's girlfriend, Madeleine, and her daughter? Send multiple vehicles to hunt Bond's group instead of one, and have them distract Bond while Safin takes these two.Finds out Bond is coming for the daughter, Mathilde? Have four guards at all corners aim at Bond, threaten him with his daughter's life, and escape with a sinking floor when Bond fakes begging by quick-drawing a gun.And finally, when Bond opens the silo doors to Safin's base for a missile strike?
