In what other movie could the villain become the hero in the sequel (or vice versa), and it would be an effective story, like in Terminator 2?

I’m not asking about movies that have already followed Terminator 2 by turning a villain intro a hero. I’m asking about hypothetical sequels to movies that could theoretically use this idea.So I’m asking about what other movies COULD, hypothetically, have added this plot twist to a sequel and it would have been just as effective and interesting as Arnold’s loyalty switch in Terminator 2.The only thing that keeps coming to mind is like...what if the violent, scary bear from that 90s R-Rated Anthony Hopkins movie The Edge somehow returned as a protector of humans in The Edge 2?
