I finally saw Dune by Mr. Denis Villenueve

Ok, so i'm 14 years old, i live in Venezuela, which is kind of a lesser country in Latin America (i speak some English tho) and it's kinda going through a rough time, not starving or anything, things are just shaky. Even so, ever since the quarantine started i've been getting interesed and discovering the great world of cinema. I haven't gone to the cinema ever since the pandemic, but anyways my father only took me to watch Marvel movies and stuff like that, bcs of my age, also they never ever play old movies(which i suppose is easier to find in USA)so not too much stuff worth it.Going to the cinema is somewhat unheard of currently, with or without pandemic, because of a lot of issues, so you can understand how i've been getting into cinema thanks to the internet. Thats how i came across Denis Villenueve in the first place, and his amazing filmography; when i discovered he was going to be in charge of Dune, i got very excited, and i didnt know anything about it at first, so i searched for the novel, read it, fell in love with it, and started getting hyped even more for the film. When the marketing started and everyone in interviews was so keen on watching it on the cinema and stuff, i got so nervous because i felt that was so difficult to put together, so i started talking my dad into the thing, about a month before the film comes out, and it didnt take much to convince him with my huge excitement, and when it came out, we started discussing the thing and today, it finally happened, i went to the cinema and watched Dune. I went in blind, knowing only everything about the book, and that it was just part one.Knowing that, i didnt have anything to complain about at all, like really, at all. The experience was truly something else, like nothing ever. It was really the first real film i watched in a cinema. It was like being born again, it was sensational. It was really a masterpiece. Thank you, Mr. Villenueve via /r/movies https://ift.tt/3nj4sM7
