Any love for Kung Pao: Enter the Fist?

Watched this movie last night after a random conversation with my son about movies that were universally panned but were still enjoyable and realized I still think it's really funny. We were both laughing the entire time. It's intentionally ridiculous, but in a great way. And, even if you hate it, you have to admit there's a lot of creativity that went into slicing old kung fu movies up, completely rewriting, re-editing, and rescripting them, then adding a character to the footage to make an entirely new story. It's so bad...but, so good at the same time. I'm sure this type of movie could not happen today becuase of the current political climate—and I'm not making any kind of statement about that. I understand why people would consider it problematic. But, for a movie that came out a long time ago when sensibilities were different, I'm wondering if anyone else has some fondness for this absolutely apeshit movie? Because I do. via /r/movies https://ift.tt/30izdZb
