Macgruber is absolutely hilarious.

I know that there have been legions of fans online who have been singing its praises since day one, but I finally understand the truth. I remember watching it when it first came out, but I didn’t get. I now get it.Its humor is so off the wall and reminds of a mixture of Lonely Island and anything Tim Robinson. It makes sense since I know that Tim and Will Forte are friends and a member of Lonely Island directed the movie.But all that being said, those comparisons diminish the comedic genius that is Mr. Will Forte. This is really his only big starring role in a comedy and he crushes it. Every line, even quick throwaway ones, is great. He has a gift of saying such stupid and vulgar stuff but in a unique way. I will forever be giggling at his pitch perfect delivery of “JUST TELL ME WHAT YOU WANT ME TO FUCK!”And all that being said, it’s actually a very well made movie. It’s cinematography and editing are so smooth and make the movie feel like a big action blockbuster. The fact that it’s shot like that but is actually just a silly spoof of the genre makes it that much better.Macgruber is an underrated comedic gem.
