What are the most groundbreaking films of all time?

I thought it would be interesting to make a list of the most groundbreaking films ever on letterboxd, but I don't know every film, wasn't old enough to see some films change the landscape, and I am too lazy to find enough, so I thought that the people on this subreddit could help.What counts as groundbreaking is pretty subjective, there are a lot of factors to what could make something groundbreaking. But I think of these things:technological improvements (special effects, animation, costumes, that sort of stuff)-filmmaking improvements ( new camera techniques, lighting, etc. You might consider this the same as technological improvement, but that doesn't really matter)And influential elements ( many films take inspiration from this one, be it in general or in genre, action or storytelling, it all has to make a lot of films take elements from it)If you have any other ideas for something that is considered groundbreaking, if it does fit as groundbreaking I'll add it on the list. I'll still check if it truly is groundbreaking.
