I had it on my watchlist forever but saw the reviews were kind of in the middle so I’ve been avoiding it. Someone on this sub recently recommended it so I gave it a shot not expecting much because I knew Tom Ford, the director, has his own clothing company if I’m not mistaken so I wasn’t sure how he would pull off a great movie while being so immersed in his own business. It was quite the haunting experience watching this film but it’s one of those films where the credits role and you’re staring blankly at the screen for a bit wondering wtf you just watched. I had to look up the meaning of the movie to completely understand. But man... once I “got” everything after reading into this movie, I went from thinking “this is a pretty good movie” to “this movie is amazing”. Definitley one of the best things I’ve seen on Netflix to date and I highly recommend it but be wary that it is quite disturbingSide note: Jake Gyllenhaal never disappoints via /r/movies https://ift.tt/3eMtHlL
