The Fast and Furious series of films is basically an American anime. And Japan thinks so too.

So I was watching Fate of the Furious the other day and I couldn't help but notice that there were a lot of similarities to anime in the franchise. Some of the things that happen in these movies are closer to anime than anything I have ever seen in an movie before. Like how The Rock guides a missile to a car using nothing but his bare hands, while also using his other hand to hold onto to a car and skate on the ice. And when Dom realises a missile is coming his way, so he makes his car jump in the air so it would hit the submarine underneath him. This shit is wild.So I started to think what does Japan think of these movies. And I came across an interesting discovery. The Fast and Furious franchise is not called Fast and Furious over there. It's called "Wild Speed". And if you think that sounds like an anime, wait until you hear the subtitles for the sequels. The Fast and the Furious = Wild Speed2 Fast 2 Furious = Wild Speed X2The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift = Wild Speed X3 TOKYO DRIFTFast & Furious = Wild Speed MAXFast Five = Wild Speed MEGA MAXFast & Furious 6 = Wild Speed EURO MISSIONFurious 7 = Wild Speed SKY MISSIONThe Fate of the Furious = Wild Speed ICE BREAKAnd probably my favourite of them all:Fast and Furious presents Hobbs And Shaw = Wild Speed SUPER COMBOI just thought this was a hilarious find that I just had to share. via /r/movies https://ift.tt/3tgEo4t
