I've just rewatched "300" (2007) after 10 years, and by Zeuz, that movie is glorious.

I was 19 years old the first time i watched it on a cinema (remember that, cinema?), i felt so hyped about heroes and wars more than any world war movie i had seen. After so much time i decided to watch it again with another "brain" (life has progressed so much in 10 years that I almost forget some films exist) and i loved it.Unfortunately i don't own a blue-ray and home-theater setup, but only a good 4K monitor and a nice headphone, so i had to go the piracy way to properly watch it.Audio is very important to me as a non native english speaker, and subtle dialogues becomes very clear in a good blue-ray remux, so let's start my review there:Audio: 9/10Amazing soundtrack, modern and classic sounds mixes seamlessly, one time is heavy rock and another it's classic chants you forget that you're living in the 21 century, all in harmony with the scenes, the sound effects really put weight with the well done props used. Narration is great and well timed, i love it. I don't give 10/10 because some sound levels are off, effects sometimes too harsh and dialogues too low.Photography: 8/10Every scene is epic. Props, actors and scenarios works together, nothing much i can say here as any frame has 1000 words to speak for me, not 10/10 because i'm saturated with modern techniques, the color grading is not great and i'm not a fan of time dilation though there are many nice details in those slow-motions.Script: 8/10The journey is complete, well described and a glorious ending. Every character is there for a reason and to complement the story, no time wasted. Actors are in place with their characters and emotions are well served. Would require a full trilogy in LOTR style for 10/10. (or maybe just ended a little sooner without that cringe acting by a character that's supposed to lead 10,000 spartans?)Personal opinion: Great movie, very immersive, every aspect of it seems timeless to me (excluding the excessive blood effects), would watch again between a break of Avengers and LOTR, I'm more a gamer than a movie nerd, and i felt something between "DOOM", "Age of Empires" and "Diablo". My first movie review, hope you enjoyed it!May Dionysus bless your wine and Zeus miss your home. via /r/movies https://ift.tt/38zuMdl
