What good movie could have been great with a better lead performance?

I’m not really looking for movies you thought were total crap and there were a million things wrong with, but moreso a movie you thought was otherwise really good - and would have been amazing if only the lead performance was better.For my example, I choose If Beale Street Could Talk, which I thought was a breathtaking film on so many levels, but I also thought that the lead of the film, KiKi Layne, was just not on the level of the rest of the cast and brought down the film as it centered more and more on her character.What are some other examples? via /r/movies https://ift.tt/2SKNIye
