There is a book titled A heartbreaking work of staggering genius, the title a mix of hubris and cynicism but I think Arrival actually should be described that way. I’ve just watched it for the fifth time (streaming on Prime) and it’s more emotionally wrenching with every viewing. I think I could see this film 10 more times and appreciate it more each time.
