Lithgow is just such a delight to watch as he never phones in a performance. The man gives it his all no matter what the movie.While we love him in 3rd Rock from the Sun with his dramatic, over the top acting, we cannot forget how frightening he can be as a villain. He plays the Trinity Killer in Dexter which is by far one of his most terrifying roles.He is the sympathetic preacher in Footloose, the way-to-perfect father of Will Ferrell in Daddy's Home Two, the paranoid man from the Twilight Zone movie and so on. Even if the movie itself is sub-par, he never is.I just want to hear what other people's thoughts on are Lithgow. What roles you loved, which performances surprised you.
