I completely forgot how radical Pleasantville was.


Not only is there is obvious distaste for the “colored” people of the town, but the Nazi imagery of the town hall meetings, the book burnings, and the civil disobedience in retaliation.Maybe it’s just seeing everything happen again that struck me so hard on this viewing, but goodness gracious, it’s doesn’t matter if it’s fiction.
