Its probably been twenty years since I've seen Ace Ventura Pet Detective. I saw it originally in the theaters back when we knew Jim Carrey as James Carrey from In Living Color (I mostly called him that white guy) but when Ace dropped, the fans embraced his brand of madness, as did everyone else. I re-watched the film last night and its still as fresh as ever. Tight script, lots of improv by Carrey, a fantastic ensemble cast and a decent detective story. Not sure if viewers today would understand the references to The Crying Game, but even without that knowledge, it still stands on its own. via /r/movies https://ift.tt/u1H7bCd
