I watched Jojo Rabbit for the first time and was very positivly suprised.

TLDR: Movie was different from what i expected but still amazing/ 10/10. They marketed hitler too much but in the final movie he had a role that wasnt that Important but thats good cause hitler is the least interesting character in the movie. The heart of the movie are Thomasin McKenzie as Elsa and Sam rockwell as Captain K. Elsa is the best character in the movie but she isnt talked about enough.So i watched "Jojo Rabbit" on Disney Plus for the first time. I didnt know much about the movie beforehand except that Taika Waititi plays hitler. I thought it was going to be a slightly funny WW2 comedy but boy i was wrong. After watching it i can say this is one of my favorite movies of all time. Everything is just perfect. The actors, the interessting time period, the set design, the acting etc.But i think the marketing/General talk about this movie (before it released) confused me a little. The keypoint of the marketing is just Hitler. Before i saw the movie i thought this was going to be some kind of buddy comedy. Cause they just advertised hitler and jojo so much.But after seeing the movie i would say that hitler is the least intressting character and its not cause hes badly written/played. I mean Taika plays him awesome but almost EVERY other actor is so much better IMO. Everyone in that movie casting/acting wise is a 9/10 imo and hitler is a 7/10 and has not that much importance in the story/not that much screen time.For me the heart of the movie really was Thomasin McKenzie as Elsa. Its sad that shes almost never talked about in discussions arround this movie. I mean everyone else is awesome too but she just brought the emotional heart to this movie.Captain Klenzler is my second favorite character. Also perfectly played by Sam rockwell. I got really emotional in the end.The movie has just so much comedy, emotionals moments, historically interessting Settings and incredible characters at the same time. The thing i didnt like about Thor Ragnarok is that the Humor overshadowed everything else but thats the opposite of this movie who balances everything perfectly.Overall perfect and unique movie that stands out cause of all its actors, especially Sam rockwell and Thomasin McKenzie. Hitler was the least interesting and was too much talked about/marketed.
