I finally saw Looper (2012)

I had been wanting to see this film literally since it came out. I finally sat down and watched it, and boy, what a ride. I love the premise, this is the way a time travel movie should be done. The time travel serves the story, and the film doesn't over complicate it or let itself get caught up in exposition like some of its peers (looking right at you, Tenet).Seeing Joseph Gordon-Levitt doing his best Bruce Willis impression was entertaining, albeit a bit inconsistent at times, but damn he sold me on it. Emily Blunt was amazing, as usual, and Bruce Willis was Bruce Willis. The camera work was incredibly well done, the stunts and set pieces were eye candy, and the world building was subtle, but just enough to immerse you. World building doesn't have to be super complicated, and this is a great example of how it should be done.It was a little too long, in my opinion, the middle sagged for about 15-20 minutes, and the ending is a typical 'we gotta get everyone in one place' kinda deal, but the final scene is worth it.Definitely worth a watch if you haven't seen it, sci-fi and time travel done right. via /r/movies https://ift.tt/2UKs5By
