The Mummy (1999) is one of the most entertaining films I've ever seen.

I just re-watched The Mummy with Brendan Fraser, and it came to me how incredibly well-made this is as an action/adventure film. It feels like a worthy successor to the Indiana Jones series with its tone and story. The action is well-staged and surprisingly violent. The editing flows well and the pacing feels quick/ Brendan Fraser plays a super compelling protagonist, who's charming, funny, and kind of aloof. Rachel Weisz is such a well-written female character, who's both smart and beautiful. And the CGI, while cheesy-looking at times, is never ugly to look at and still looks better than the majority of VFX today.I recently saw this movie on HBO Max, and it still holds up today. Definitely check this one out if you have the chance! via /r/movies https://ift.tt/3bFWqXR
