Movies you were sure would be great but ended up being disappointed in.

I’m talking a film that on paper with the talent involved should have been a home run. It’s the film “Public Enemies” 2009 which saddens me to think back on. I absolutely loved the true crime book which was the basis. A Michael Mann movie about Great Depression era bank robbers? Sounds fantastic! The film took pointless liberties with the true story. Michael Mann is an all time favorite director but the film lacked a propulsive sleek style from his other films. The casting was stellar but any character besides Dillinger felt paper thin.So what movies did you think you would love based off the story, director, screenwriter, etc. but ultimately felt let down by? via /r/movies https://ift.tt/3cJQyfN
