I think Alien (1979) is the greatest horror movie of all time. The atmosphere is amazing and the characters just feel so real. What other movies should I check into?

As per the title, the original Alien movie is - to me at least - the best horror movie I ever have and ever will see. The characters just feel so real, it was suspenseful yet a slow burn, the retrofuturistic space environment was awesome, it wasn't overly gory, the plot twist blew me away, and the atmosphere was just on point.What else do you think I would like?
