In Greenland, Butler keeps his Scottish accent and doesn't even attempt to try an American one, and his performance is all the better for it. It's basically a meme at this point but he has historically not been great at dropping the accent and trying to sound "American".In Greenland he really shines as a result. Just a grizzled dude who happens to have a Scottish accent trying to save his family.
