Asparagus in movies

I love eating asparagus. For some reason however, I love even more watching other people eat asparagus. When a character in a movie eats asparagus it somehow always looks delicious. Three distinct examples of asparagus in movies that I can think of right now are:The prison scene in Law Abiding Citizen where Clyde eats asparagus. The way he holds it up with a fork is how I've tried to eat asparagus ever since, however it never tastes as good as it looks in the movie. I think another reason why I like this asparagus scenes so much is the sound that comes from Clyde taking his first bite of the asparagus.Another good asparagus scene that I can think of is in Phantom Thread. Where Reynolds Woodcocks gets dissatisfied because the asparagus is prepared with butter instead of with oil. It intrigues me how he eats the asparagus with his fingers and dips it in the butter on the plate, and also how much salt he adds to it.Another one is the dinner scene in American Beauty. Here the asparagus rests upon a plate with lemons, which I find a bit odd because I never eat asparagus with lemons, but it still looks absolutely delicious, even though you barely see the character eating it.I wonder if directors use asparagus in movies because it holds some special significance - or maybe it's just because it looks so damn delicious all the time?Do you guys know any more good asparagus movies? via /r/movies https://ift.tt/3qlTTXb
