I finally got around to watching "Hot Rod" (dir. Akiva Schaffer) over the summer and I'm surprised that this hasn't become a more common cult comedy watch. Not only does it have a great ensemble cast before most of them had become famous (Bill Hader, Andy Samberg, Danny McBride, Jorma Taccone), it balances that with a script that never misses the opportunity for a good joke and thankfully has the direction to make each moment matter. I just think it deserves the same kind of cult comedy status that something like "What We Do in the Shadows" has recently, and I'm waiting for the next Lonely Island movie in eager anticipation. via /r/movies https://ift.tt/3fUcUw5
