Amy Poehler's 'Wine Country' was a worse vacation movie than anything Adam Sandler has ever done.

I don't know how they managed to get the script which was probably a few pages long greenlit. The story had no direction except the fact that it's gonna be a midlife crisis event for a group of women. The cast had such great potential but there was zero effort put into developing any of the characters. Somehow they were all always irritated, acting cocky and rude to service staff or most people in general. Atleast Adam Sandler's vacation movies tries to put some fun elements. Also that part where they rant about millennials at the art show was pointless and doesn't fit the liberal and fun characters they are supposed to be. Instead they seem as old people hating young people for being different and not acknowledging them as the cool generation with 'real troubles'.The ending is plain idiotic with all the women rolling over the hill which would have surely injured them fatally. Even if there is some symbolism behind it, it is still plain stupid, lazy writing.I hope the team had as much as fun as the Sandler team, which might be the only good thing to come out of this movie. via /r/movies https://ift.tt/3ixvjjm
