After rewatching ‘Death Becomes Her’, I really think the performances from Meryl Streep, Bruce Willis, and Goldie Hawn are some of their career best.

HBO just added ‘Death Becomes Her’ to their catalog, and after watching it for the first time in a while, I remembered how truly great of a film it is. When I watched this movie as a kid, I really enjoyed it for the groundbreaking special effects and make-up, which were so impressive at the time. Fast forward 28 years later, and now I’m so much more impressed by the performances and the writing. The humor is so dry and sarcastic and campy, but with a very dark edge to it. The cast is just 100% all in on this film, which makes it so much more enjoyable. Streep and Hawn are a perfect match for each other, and Willis adds that really nerdy, uncomfortable weirdo aspect that’s completely out of his element, but works so damn well. It’s just a great film all around and definitely worth a watch. via /r/movies https://ift.tt/3f8RJFi
