Of all the movies that deserved a sequel that never got one, this is one of the movies I'm most disappointed about. I'm currently rewatching this gleaming golden gem of a movie for the bazillionth time and am waxing poetic about just how damn good it is.Such an amazing achievement in balance between accuracy and entertainment. The chemistry between Crowe and Bettany is some of the best ever committed to film, and the setting. Oh the setting. I don't know how they filmed this boat so well and I'd almost rather not know because it feels so real.Just shout out to Peter Weir and scorn upon Pirates of the Carribean for overshadowing this masterpiece and probably killing a sequel.
