Just rewatched Edge of Tomorrow (2014) starring Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt. I remember watching it when it first came out and thought it was a good movie. After watching it again eight years later, I think this movie still stands the test of time. The action sequences are robust and even though some of the scenes are repeated (given the nature of the main story line), every scene feels fresh even if it seems you just watched it. Tom Cruise is amazing in the movie, portraying not only the action scenes with great intensity but also the non-action scenes with a great command over the dialogue, while also making the character he plays more full and well rounded. Emily Blunt's role in the movie was equally well played and she did an awesome job playing her character as a real bad ass.Not only is the movie well acted and the action scenes top notch, but the story itself is compelling as far as sci fi goes. You can really buy into the premise of the movie despite it being far fetched (as most sci fi goes).Despite all the attention his personal life gets, this movie solidified for me Tom Cruise as being one of the great (action) movie actors of our generation. via /r/movies https://ift.tt/Egn0c6W
