Starman is my favorite John Carpenter movie. It boggles me that not enough people know about it. It's a sci-fi chase movie but at its heart, it's a atmospheric love story about loss and hope. Jeff Bridges got nominated for his performance as an Alien who takes on the physical image of Karen Allen's deceased husband and takes her on a road trip. From there, Allen's depressed widow begins to fina new lease on life as she knows more about this figure.Jack Nitzsche's original score will make you feel all kinds of emotion. So solemn and beautiful and heartbreaking. It amazes me that Carpenter didn't do another love story. He's so good at it. via /r/movies https://ift.tt/3p5ZEv1
