Directed by John Landis and released in 1978, Animal House is regarded as not only one of the greatest college movies of all time, but one of the greatest comedies of all time and it’s easy to see why.This movie is just packed with so many memorable scenes from the “Shout” performance at the toga frat party to the Delta house trial, it became of favorite of mine real fast.Of course, the movie is full of up and coming stars like Tom Hulce, Karen Allen, Kevin Bacon, and of course John Belushi in his first film appearance. My favorite moment of his is when he’s trying to cheer Flounder up and he just smashes a glass beer bottle against his head like it was nothing. Man did we lose him too soon.Watching Animal House for me was like watching Seven Samurai for the 1st time as in you just recognize all the ways this movie influenced pop culture.
