There is a very brief moment in this scene where after getting through a crisis, Jack spots a guy in despair, puts his hand on his shoulder, and says "we made it". That moment just made the whole character for me. The guy in despair was dressed like a scumbag type character, for lack of a better word. You'd think he had something up his sleeve the whole time. And yet Jack showed him concern, rather than say get a kiss from the girl or drop a one liner like most action heroes do.What made it even better was that Jack was supposed to be that one-liner type smug hero, but it was on Keanu Reeves' advice that they decided to rework the script and turn him into a proper gentleman.If shit goes down, I trust Jack.
