I know it's been discussed a lot here, but I finally got to watch Palm Springs and i can't stop thinking about it.

There's something about this movie that stuck with me. I watched it four days ago and my brain keeps coming back to it.Maybe it's the acting and writing. Andy Samberg and Cristin Milioti had such great chemistry and it's hard not to get sucked in. And obviously JK Simmons is perfect. The writing and dialogue were amazing which contributes to the contagious charm of each performer. At times making me crack up, like Rays introduction scene. At times making me really feel for the main couple, like in the desert with the dinosaurs.Maybe it's the attitude Nyles adopts on being stuck in an infinite time loop for all eternity - fuck it, let's just have a drink and see what we can come up with. I think he starts to see the positives in it. No job, no money to worry about, no consequences. You can do literally whatever you want and it all just resets so why not enjoy it? The older I get, the more things there are to balance to get through - money, job, mental and physical health, and eventually others' health like spouse or kids or pets. And it's a breath of fresh air thinking for a minute that this character has all of that removed from his life and begins to just go with the flow and treat it like the vacation it is. Plus, no hangovers??Maybe it's the romance. Being stuck in an infinite time loop is shitty, but getting to do it with a lover (or even just a great friend) where just the two of you get to experience this together takes that bond to the next level. No one could possibly understand how long you've been in there, and even if they do, they forget the next time you wake up. That montage in the middle when the two are just fucking around and doing ridiculous shit like hijack a plane and take mushrooms in the desert are PRIME feel good content.Maybe it's Nyles' dancing in the first wedding we see.Likely, it's a combination of all of these plus maybe some others I am not thinking about. It's not often movies stick with me like this, and I was wondering if this movie had an impact on anyone else like it did on me. Or if there was anything I missed that stuck with you. via /r/movies https://ift.tt/3hmwjrI
