Just watched this after a long time. I’m 36. I had a conception of this being a dumb poorly written script, that somehow became a cult favorite but that I loved when I was immature and 10.It’s not. It’s great. It may be the best of the Farrelly Brother movies, including TSAM.The story is great. The lines are great. The humor is perfectly timed. The day dreaming shorts (pulling heart out of Asian chef), the chemistry between Carrey and Daniels, both who became great actors, is reminiscent of some amalgamation of the 3 stooges and Brewster’s Millions.It’s the struggle of social class criticism. It’s the romantic disappointment of single poor men in comedic prose.Just the wardrobe selection alone, the iconic orange and light blue tuxedos with top hats and canes, is inimitable.Like the Icelandic snow owl, this is a rare and magnificent specimen.
