Just rewatched Independence Day, which lead me to Edge of Tomorrow. What are some other alien invasion/disaster movies that you love?

Edge of tomorrow is fantastic and definitely the better movie.Though I’m particularly looking for a movie where there is a canary in the coal mine/ person that is trying to warn everyone of an impending doom like Jeff Goldblum in Independence Day. “Knowing” with a Nick Cage is a terrible movie but also a good example of this. Yes I know the present day in 2020 is also a disaster story of sorts, but for some sick reason I am craving a disaster movie as well.
