I first saw it in theaters in December 1996 when I was 10 and there was something about really creepy aliens taking over but also being every corner you turned with a disintegrate gun. For a PG-13 movie I felt the death scenes seemed horrific due to watching people combust or show their skeletons not to mention seeing big name stars (Michael j fox, rod steiger, jack Nicholson, Glenn Close, Danny Devito, James Bond) get killed off so easily. But the real reason was just how creepy the aliens were, how they were everywhere, and how horribly they killed I guess. via /r/movies https://ift.tt/32KkbK7
