Remember the movie Coraline? The girl who travels into another reality through a tiny door in her house only to see the people all have buttons eyes. This is one of the scariest movies I have seen to this day. The evil, the manipulation, the disfigurement caused by the other mom. I remember being taken as a kid to go see this maybe 9 with friends and we were all scared. It’s supposed to be a kids movie. As I’ve grown up I still watch it and it’s scary for many different reasons. Other Wybies face stitched into a smile, the other dad rotting away and in a constant frown, the other mother turning into a skinny tall demon. As a kid I enjoyed the story so much (creepy) but as an adult the movie hits me and makes me scared as a horror should. I don’t know if any film that can do that like this one.
