What's a movie trope that everyone thinks only happens in fiction but actually is pretty common in real life?

For example the "sarcastic comedic relief" in war movies/other kinds of disaster movie. I've heard that it's not uncommon to meet people like that during service, and they're actually useful because they ease everyone else's stress during tense/exhausting situations. What other tropes seem just fiction but they actually happen in the real world?EDIT: Also for example, hearing a noise in the middle of the night and just assuming it's the wind or your cat knocking over some stuff. In horror films much of the audience is like "IT'S CLEARLY A GHOST RUUUUUUN" but to be honest I would totally ignore the noise and try to sleep. via /r/movies https://ift.tt/3behph5
