Did you ever sit and watched the end of VHS tapes?

Did you ever sit through the end credits of a VHS tape just to see the black screen and the phone dialing sound and the sudden white screen with the beeping sound and then the quiet blue screen?I would do this a lot as a kid. I found these things weird and mysterious.I don't know if I was expecting some secret scene at the end of the credits.
