Anyone remember Neill Blomkamp? Director of District 9, Elysium and Chappie. Guy seemed to have a lot of promise. Does anyone know why he's seemed to fallen of the face of the earth? Looking at his IMDB page it looks like after Chappie flopped he went back to directing short films. To me this seems like a case of failing to strike while the iron was hot. Why didn't this guy push to get a District 9 sequel made? Then start a production studio and go do his own indie films ala The russo brothers. District 9 was his golden goose which had the backing of Peter Jackson. He had a recipe for success so where did it go wrong? via /r/movies https://ift.tt/2vOKjFR
