I don't hear much about this film generally- I know one person who really likes it (as far as I know, no one else I know has even seen it) and I saw it a trailer years ago but I recently watched it when it was on tv . I was pretty impressed. It's about a man who discovers he's the subject of a novel being written with the narrator's voice commentating on his daily acitivity. It's a really original plot that addresses ideas like the creative writing process and literary theory, which I liked as someone who's studied English A LOT (not that it doesn't make sense if someone hasn't) there are really genuine performances- Will Ferrel's the lead and is going refreshingly against type, bright spots of comedy and some entertaining editing/visuals. It's a really thoughtful film that I'm quite surprised isn't really talked about, especially with an all star cast that also includes Maggie Gylenhaal (might've spelt that wrong) Emma Thompson Dustin Hoffman and Queen LatifahEdit: I've just read somewhere it's regarded one of the best movies of 2006, so it's more reveared than i thought via /r/movies https://ift.tt/3bqKfeO
