Sound Design of movies from the 70s and 80s is better than the ones from today

I know it sounds sort of counterintuitive but i have noticed that older movies seem, for lack for a better word, to have better sound. It just feels more human, the dialogues seem more assertive and the music seems to feel more organic, it feels like, due, to having inferior technology, the sound artists did a better job with the sound. via /r/movies https://ift.tt/2r78UTF
