Finally watched Overlord. Do yourself a favor and see it if you're on the fence. (No spoilers)

Everyone in the reviews seem to cream their collective jeans over the intro sequence (and don't get me wrong it's cool as hell). But that's not what sold me on the film. The number and length of continuous shots really put this movie head and shoulders above most other sci-fi / thriller films I've seen in recent years. They do a fantastic job of building urgency and tension. The gunplay was great as well. The volume of the shots was especially wonderful; echoing and loud, not little pops like dropping coins in a can. Reminded me of Heat in this regard where little else can be heard when the person on screen is firing. If the concept loses you, the cinematography should be able to keep your interest. via /r/movies https://ift.tt/2M03jYv
