Netflix, Hulu, Prime should have audio commentary, cut scenes, directors cut, etc...

It's kinda ridiculous these features still solely exist on DVD's. There's so much to gain from watching a film/show with the audio commentary. Even something like Arrested Development, which had great commentary tracks for the first few seasons, and is now a Netflix original, can only be found on the DVD box sets.I know you can find the directors cut of certain films on these platforms, but not frequently enough and for the real film nerds there's a lot left to want. Also would love to see multiple trailer cuts or special promos that were paired to movies or shows before they premiered. These platforms have the infrastructure to support these features and with Disney+ around the corner, they're going to have to do something to differentiate themselves to consumers, even if it's just small things for film/TV geeks. There's obvious rights/ownership issues paired to these features, but if they can get the property just as a movie or show, they can probably get the extras as well. via /r/movies https://ift.tt/2ZyZQSW
